Preston, the Preservative Expert

Preservation can feel like a puzzle, but Preston thrives on solving it. Cool, calm, and collected, he’s the one you turn to when you’re worried about microbes or wondering why your lotion has gone cloudy. Preston has all the answers for keeping your products safe, stable, and shelf-ready.

He’s also got a great sense of humour—if preservatives had personalities, Preston would definitely tell you which one matches your vibe.

Fiona, the Fragrance Composer

Fiona’s nose is her superpower, and she’s got a talent for helping you create safe, perfectly balanced fragrances for your products. Whether you’re working with essential oils or fragrant blends, Fiona knows all about usage limits and safety standards (yes, even the super-tricky IFRA stuff!).

It’s simple! Just sign up for free, and you’ll get 5 free messages to try out the lab assistants. You can explore their features and see how they can help you before committing to a plan.

Once you’ve used your trial messages, you can choose from our flexible options to continue accessing the lab assistants:
•Subscription plans: Pay monthly for 20, 50, or 100 messages.
•One-off payments: Purchase 100 messages without a subscription—use them at your own pace.
You will see these options in the side panel.

A message refers to what you send to the lab assistants. Their responses are not counted towards your message limit. This ensures you can ask detailed questions and get thorough answers without worrying about using up your plan.

You can easily track your remaining messages! The message counter is located under the chat box, at the bottom of the page. This ensures you always know how many messages you have left in your plan.

No daily limits! Your messages depend on the plan you choose. For example, if you purchase 50 messages, you can use them all at once or spread them out—it’s entirely up to you.

Subscription plans: Unused messages reset monthly.  
One-off payments: These messages don’t expire—you can use them whenever you like.

If you run out of messages, you can easily purchase more by upgrading your subscription or making another one-off payment.

Yes! The lab assistants are available anytime you need them, no matter your time zone. Whether you’re formulating late at night or early in the morning, they’ll be ready to help.

No, the lab assistants are designed to provide guidance on ingredients. They don’t create or help with formulas.

Yes, your conversations with the lab assistants are completely private. While we store messages anonymously to improve the assistants and their performance, they are never linked to your personal information. Your confidentiality is our priority.

Each assistant has their own area of expertise:
•Ingrid: Ingredient research and selection.
•Preston: Preservation and product safety.
•Claire: Product descriptions and claims - still training 
•Fiona: Fragrance safety and essential oils.  

If you’re unsure, you can start with a question, and we’ll guide you to the right assistant.

Yes! They speak multiple languages. You can change the language settings on the side panel to interact with the lab assistants in your preferred language. This ensures a personalised and comfortable experience for all users. 

Managing your plan is simple. Just click on “Manage Plan” in the side panel to view your current plan, make changes, or cancel your subscription. If you cancel, you’ll retain access to your remaining messages until the end of your billing cycle.
